In May, she suffered a stroke—five years into her tenure as chief executive and after selling off 40 percent of the company’s businesses. Now she is resigning as chairman and chief executive olfficer.
Not only is it lonely at the top as a woman but it is also STRESSFUL.
When I left Corporate America I was 49 years old and stressed to the max. Television news will do that to you no matter how old you are–and it certainly doesn’t help that you are surrounded by arrogant white male bosses and younger know-it-all co-workers.
